Help pls! Which rims is better??!!

Hi guys,

I just had a deal w Ray S but cant decide which one is better so would really appreciate if you guys can share your opinion.

Tried to upload the pictures but can't seem to get it up. Trouble you guys to go thru the link.

Anyway, the deal is this.... OEM M5 is resprayed and comes with CSC3 tires with 75% thread remaining while the M3 replicas comes with brand new Eagle Assymetric. Price difference between 2 is $100.

I'm at a lost between the 2 so would appreciate your advice. Also, your opinion on the tire selection/condition.

Sorry but I didn't include that the M5 rims are used and hence resprayed.

The M3 repllicas are brand new of course.

confirm the offset of these rims which will best suit your car. you wanna be flush not sunken and best to stay away from spacers

I think the M3 replicas catered for the PCD of E60 but not sure if need any spacers.

Personally I try to avoid replicas too but these set of m3 replicas are really damn hot!

K, looks like the majority is leaning on OEM M5 rims, pls share your opinion, I still got til next week.

Btw, what you guys think of the tyres then? CSC 3 or Eagle Assymetric? The used CSC have about 25mm depth left which I think should last for another..... 15000km? What you guys think?

your M5 OEM ? original from M5? or replica M5?
are different rim.
Best look is still M5 on your E60
just be sure the rims are for 5series

if i m not wrong the M3 rear may flush but not the front. however having said both rims are kindda heavy...maybe you wanna consider forged?

I drive a E60 523, the rims ar M166 OEM, they were dropped by a guy who changed to Breytons.
Haha, I think the M3 rims are an evolution of design from the M5 which is why they give me a different feeling(newer design??)

Forged wheels are definitely lighter but the price will go up significantly and I don't track so wont really matter

Surprisingly, the Replica M3s are around 10kg ea, lighter than the M166s, which IMO is alright for 19s. Whether it will flush or not I am not sure :screwedu: Guess this is important as it'll affect the look.

Someone fixed it on his 5er, think he is the only 1 in sg with this setup, is he a forumer here, can share pics and comments?

I'm asking in terms of wet grip(cos Sg always raining) and the ride comfort(noisy?)

Someone asked before, I think it was Hetraa..what do you deem as "replica"? If one day Breyton decides to make a rim same design as OEM M5 rims..is this considered as replica? I think wide-sweepng statements that replicas are "no good" is maybe unfair because some replicas are made quite well...I think SOME replicas are well made and some are really crap...

Tks mate. I guess most important is that you like the rims. Whether replica or not, most important is the build quality. I've used a replica b4 and had no problem for 5 years.
Note: I never track and my daily driving is very relax.

But kinda hard to ascertain build quality unless they are from known builders like .... SSW?? HAhaha, not sure if anyone had bad experience with them.

Rims should be coming today or tml. Thanks for all you comments. More or less made up my mind. Unless I change my mind, I will let you know and u can have the M5 rims bro.
