anyone knows if it is possible to fix a twin exhaust tip to our e90 320 ala those on the 323? TIA

Re: help on twin exhaust tip for e90 320

Definitely. Aftermarket exhaust systems from Sebring, Remus, Supersprint all offer the twin pipe look. Damage can range from $900 - $1300 for the exhaust box alone. No cutting or welding required since the systems are designed specifically to replace the back box on the exhaust system.

You could try asking around Man exhaust, Fong Kim.

As for aural effect, the Sebring by far is the loudest application I've heard.

Cheers.

U can even fix Hamann Quad exhaust. Saw it at J4C. Of cos 1 pair of exhaust will be dummies, ie for show only

Hi Fooman,

I tink wat u meant is to fix a tip, n not the catback exhaust? tis is also possible. all u need to do is to cut the current exhaust end, then fix a Y-joint n weld the twin tip. No downside here in terms of power n u wil not lose low-end torque like some of the aftermkt exhaust n it shld b the cheapest option amongst all.

However, do note dat if yr ride has no bodykit, then it may look weird bcos the y-joint can be seen fm the side....

hope tis helps.

Cheers

Understand that Y joint at exhaust end is not a good idea as the other side will be sucking air instead of exhausting air.

ACSCAB2, what is your next ride? Any updates?

bro ACSCAB2,

yes that's what I meant, tks for the tip (pun intended:) ), actually I have fixed the Mtech rear bumper and now the single tip looks funny. but noticed bro scuderia mentioned that the y-joint is not a good idea?

cheers,

Re: help on twin exhaust tip for e90 320

dear bros nytemare & ABD,

paiseh, didn't phrase my qn properly but thanks for your advise, was also contemplating catback exhaust albeit not so seriously. did fit an SS on my previous ride, don't think so I wanna go there again because of the suffer in low end torque, unless it is different for the E90!

Hi bro, agree wif Phil on his comments but i tink if welded properly, shld not b a prob. I did tis for my former E46ers 318s n also for my current E90 320 as well. No issues n dont feel any loss in low end. I did it at Jeep Chee. Look for Eric. He shld hav wat u want....n agree, pls do something to yr exhaust...looks weird when u hav a kit wif a tiny single exhaust tip....

Cheers

Alternatively you can cut and weld the twin tips at Man Exhaust for less than 100 bucks. Cosmetic Mod.
