help needed to change rims n tyres!!!

hi all, i'm a newbie in this forum n new to rims n tyres. i'm driving a 630i now, wanted to change rims n tyres. looking around n confused!!! the brands that always came up is BBS, DPE, I Forged, ACS, Hamann n HRE.

seriously, i know nuts abt this although i search through their websites. fr wat my friend told me is i need to fork out at least around 8k n above for these branded rims, its worth it then i will change into one of these.

can anyone highlight me?

It can be that expensive... $4-6k for the rims and another $2-3k on tires...

Looks of rims are personal taste, difficult for someone to recommend ones you like. Some like aggressive, deep dish, diffent color, shinny or black, number of spokes, etc. Another thing you can do is to go shops and get them to put rims you like next to your car - it'll give you a much better view.

And it is Type 4.. Don't know how to insert pic...PM me or give me your email if you want. I can send pic to u...Although this rim is Original...which i heard cost almost 7k but the design a bit out but still look good...Think 2004/2005..5 spoke...Anyway u think twice or thrice..If your car is New...Better get a new and good rims...This is my Thought...Since already pay so much for the car...Have to spend a little more for your rims and it will look good....Also...dun noie can fix your car or not..got to check with others if u interested...

Not a prob...hehe...just saw your post...I would advised you to get Dpe rims...seems lots of ppl here getting and the design....very Chio....I thought of getting it but stuck with this AC rims...keke..Anyway still look good on mine.... Enjoy your hunting Keith... Are you from Charles and Keith....the Bro of Charles...Keith??/hehe

heard fr a friend the really branded ones like ACS n Hamann are really nice. DPE as compared to these 2 brands r a bit inferior? is it? cos i really sotong in rims...

Maybe you are right in your thinking...Just get to know what OEM means liao...Original equipment manufacturer...And actually is also true on what u have said ..hamman and ACS.. So if you are getting importing and let me know..Maybe can share some shipment cost with you...

But on the other hand DPE rims still stand up...you can go see the pic from others forumer and see the look of their Bimmer with Dpe....More designs.......Me very contradicting. ley...haizzzz...Maybe dun think to much...Diff ppl got diff Taste..Enjoy your hunting for RIMs...

i have got used 20inch DPE R20 in high polish finish for sale... used it for about 5 months... comes with tire which is still very good condition...

selling them because car is due for export next month...

forget about AC schnitzer and hamann rims... these wheels are not exactly light ( except maybe for some models ) and they are way overpriced imho... well except for maybe BBS

u better off getting japanese wheels (e.g trafficstar , lowenhart , kranze) which has better quality and lighter than some of the european wheels...

or get american forged rims like DPE , HRE , iforged , they got good quality and have more bling factor ...for a very good price...
