Let's sum this up - it is a newbie asking for help in a wedding convoy of BMW cars. Volunteer basis, no obligations. Kaikai19 might be a current or future BMW owner - hence not a relevant issue. Friendship could well develop from there - it's all about willingness to extend our hands. At the end of the day, it will be an important day for him and his soon-to-be wifey. Memorable for him. Important insofar as presentation is concerned. Which groom or bride is not concerned about that?

What's the catch for us? Nothing. Except few litres of petrol. We can take it as a morning drive, join in the fun with Kaikai19, or we could treat this as a favour to him. I prefer not to think on the latter. Of course, some of us will well question the rationale of the entire event. We can ask why, but we can ask why not as well. It does not hurt at all.

I understand that the last wedding drive resulted in some unhappiness in that some participants felt that they were treated for granted. Note that we are helping, not playing a major role in someone's wedding. Attention is not necessarily reciprocal in these instances. If lack of personal treatment was perceived to be from the groom's perspectives, then it is a personal issue. It can well happened to a prominent BMW forumer's wedding convoy and you could still feel unappreciated.

Do understand that no one has malice intended at the end of the day. The folks here (bro's in sis') are all very open to community & fellowship. Hence the outpouring of support initially. Even w/o actually knowing you, and knowing you don't yet drive a bmw (not a pre-req. to anything really)
