im driving an E46 now.

im keen at upgrading to the 523s. but it seems like the pre FL is easier to MOD, any particular reason?

not only pre FL... but u have to get the M54 engine ones... which is pre april 2005

the reason is the newer magnesium block N52 valvetronic engine is not strong enough to handle mods like supercharger... hence the M54 is easier to mod...

more parts is available for the M54 too... like headers..intake...cams..

but if i am looking at only having a piggy bag chip to increase perfm, can it be done with the latest 523? and how much would it cost?
