Hi, I am a newbie myself. Now is a great time to get into a 5. Almost ended up with a 525 recently-prices are really at an all time low, but ended up with an X5.
You cant go wrong, this is my first BMW and even though mine is an SUV its a wonderful drive corner to corner and is a wonderful handler. Really a drivers car!

I am a westsider currently NOT driving a BMW. My current ride is a Honda Civic Type R, driving for more than a year but contemplating to swap it for a 5 series soon.

Thanks, indeed CTR is a very good performance car...it eats corner effortlessly and make novice drivers look like pro due to it's handling capability.
After driving it for a while, my left leg is getting aches
, so guess it's time to go back to auto with cruise control.
