Gruppe M E46 318i Long-termers

Hi!

I would like to ask those who've, for some time now, had Gruppe M for their 318i's if hiccups/problems have come up as far as the engine/MAF/OBD diagnostics is concerned. I'm very interested in getting this mod installed but would like to ask those who've had firsthand experience with the Gruppe M to share your feedback/insights in helping me come to a decision.

My 318i is still under warranty (here in Manila) and am sure i'll be having issues with it once I install the Gruppe M that's why am wary of getting it for now.

It has been almost a year now, and there is no problem from my Gruppe M.

Other than the growl which is deafening when my canopy is down......

I've had no problems at all too. Used to find it deafening in the beginning but now, if it doesn't roar, then something's amiss..

Thanks kentonna and SL2! It's good to hear about your positive feedback. Apart from the great sound are the hp gains noticeable or significant?

Fitted the Gruppe M on my E46 320i some 6mths ago. Together with the Remus exhaust, it never fails to turn heads whenever I drive pass. No problems whatsoever!

BHP gain? Honestly, it is a butt-feel factor for me, especially in the early morning hours, or late at nite when the air is much cooler. The car is a lot more torquey during those times......
