Group buy: Sports pedals from Bmwpedals.com

Re: Group buy: Sports pedals from Bmwpedals.com

Installation probably can go back to your regular workshop and ask them to help for a small fee.

I don't have a good lobang myself (will be doing the above, but also quite new to the workshop), but if anyone else has lobang or is handy with a drill, please do share. :D

Bro, sorry I don't see E66 RHD on their website. :(

If you are willing to work with the vendor on the design of the footrest for E66, I can put you in touch with him. This is what Centurion9990 and myself are doing for the F10 and E85 footrests which are also currently unavailable.

Re: Group buy: Sports pedals from Bmwpedals.com

Apologies for side-tracking.

Wow the studs hurt! Blame me for always driving taking off my shoes. Yeah it is truly my fault! I truly believe I am not alone in driving bare-foot right?

Re: Group buy: Sports pedals from Bmwpedals.com

Installation won't be that difficult, especially since the metal drilling template would be provided. Last time I installed such pedals, I only had a marker pen to guide me :errmm:

White studs on black look fantastic - hope the grip matches the looks.

BTW, Centurion9990, you'd be liaising with the vendor on the F10 footrest? If so, many thanks.

Ya we worked on the design together and finalised. Don't mention, its for the benefit of every F10-ers, no pedals at all for 10-ers... We are so poor thing

Maybe can DIY. Anyone got power drill? :D

Not sure how the gas pedal comes off and on too...

Black Pedals are ON!!!

Hey guys, the long waited black pedals are fixed on my F10... Took a few shots on the my DIY job and some tips:

Step 1: Using the provided template, fixed onto the brake pedal and start drilling. The drill bit I used is 4mm in diameter, its available in DIY shop. From the picture, as you can see, bottom-left is too near to the edge and top-right is close to the bar behind. Hence, there is no enough space for the nut to be fixed behind. So just drill top left and bottom right is good enough. Tightly secure in my case.

Step 2:
Use white masking tape, to tape the top and bottom of the of the gas pedal. Mount the black gas pedal and make the marking onto the white tape. Using the provided self-taping screw, screw in the top-left one first and then remove it. Then mount the black pedal on and 80% secure the top-left screw. Then progress with right bottom, left bottom and top right. If you are happy with the placing of the black gas pedal, proceed with 100% secure on the screws. By doing this, in the event if the screws are not straight or you are not happy with the positioning, you could re-tap the screws/straighten it.

Step 3:
Clean up with dead pedal plastic with alcohol, make sure there is no dirt on it. Stick the black pedal onto the dead pedal, align it to the position you preferred. And and hard press on the black pedal for a good 5mins. Use body weight :) DONE!!! :woottt::woottt::woottt:

***Pls pardon me for the poor resolution pictures. My hands were still trembling after the installation. Please take note: Use a heavy duty drill, what is see on the demo video is in the best scenario case. In my case, the brake steel plate is freaking THICK!!! And the confined working space in the leg room area :sickinbe::sickinbe::sickinbe:
