Hi Everyone!

I'm Paul and while I dont have a BMW currently, I did have a BMW 840i back in Chicago. Damn nice car also. I really miss it.

Been here in Singapore for over 8 years now, and my family and I really enjoy it. My kids go to local school (SCGS) and my wife runs a small business importing the KozaK Auto DryWash cloth, Lexol Leather Cleaner and Conditioner, Vinylex Vinyl Protectant and the AuraVision Glasses which prevent or reduce the severity of headaches and migraines. (Yes, they really work, and they are great sunglasses also!)

You know, just thinking about the 840i hurts... that was one of the finest cars I've ever owned. WHY DID BMW DISCONTINUE IT??

Anyone out there have one? I wouldn't mind drooling over yours!

Contact me... Paul

Think the creation of the BMW 840i was untimely. Sales of the 8 Series were affected by the global recession of the early 1990s, the Persian Gulf War, and energy price spikes (8 series high engine capacity did not help its cause). Marred by poor sales the model was canned.

I think it was one of their finest cars.. shouldnt they re-introduce it? Nothing they have comes close!

Well the new 7 series has the pivoting rear wheels when turning....much like the 8 series did. hehe

Re: Greetings!

The 8 was meant to spiritually succeed the old 6... and being a spectacular sales failure, they brought back the 6 - to good effect so I doubt they will re-introduce the 8... I did like the 8 very much though, but was still a student then and couldn't afford one!
