when you want to make TV commercials for airing in malaysia, there is the MIM 'made in m'sia' rule. shows that the govt wants the money to stay in m'sia.
so when you buy mods from m'sia, you will have also have to install in m'sia.....

Sounds like the mods/parts are there to drive the installation and service business...so maybe they sell them at a lower margin and make it back on the installation.
