er.. noob question, as i dont own a PS3.

Are there region codes for PS3 games, a la your DVD movies? I intend to preorder but dunno if there'll be compatibility issues with a PS3 that i intend to buy in spore?

The PS3 actually supports hardware region locking for PS3 games as well, based on Blu-ray regions[3], but as of current it is unused and all current region lockouts and separations are about online services.

So looks like no games are region locked. Only online services, ala movies, music and demo downloads

Anyway, collector's edition looks awesome. Converting from USD....about $150 huh...

still need to factor in shipping for the collectors. Grand Total: usd$135.97
No i dun think SG will sell the collectors edition. Its only available through Pre-order for now.
Maybe some importers will bring it in but will probably be marked up anyway

According to a friend of mine, to DL stuff meant for US, just register another account for the PS network

Hmm, i think i might check with local game shops and see if they bringing in the CE.

Euro Collector's edition's price makes the US one look like a bargain....geez.

Also like the GT Academy, United States, Canadian, and even Japanese fans are out of luck, as the Signature Edition (and the competition) will only be available to residents of the following countries: UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Czech Republic, Russia, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Signature edition not heading to SG, no news bout the Collector's edition, but my guess is prob. not


These five “Chrome Line” cars will be available as DLC in all special editions of Gran Turismo 5, including the United States:

• Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro Chrome Line Edition
• BMW M3 Coupe Chrome Line Edition
• Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 Chrome Line Edition
• Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupe Chrome Line Edition
• Shelby Cobra 427 Chrome Line Edition

Six more special cars will also be used as pre-order incentives by different retailers around the world:

You should definitely get a PS3. It can do lots of things, like playing blu-ray, viewing home photos and videos. I have played the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue; I think it's quite cool.

They should provide you with a code in the box for the download. At least thats what they do for Xboxes.

Well with about 2 ½ months to go from the finish of racing games the most anticipated of the year, makes a pursuit of new Gran Turismo 5 Drifting Dreams, all the machines to drive new insight into dreams which functions as a standard racing games. I'm sure I'll enjoy GT5 and multiplayer split screen running scene. I pre-ordered GT5 so I can't wait for it to come out well I think all the sacrifices that made me not buying ffxi gil for a month just to save and have this will be all worth it, but I’m sure it do!
