GM Gearbox replacement

Hi, my ride E93 325i experience jerk in the second gear change. Was advise by workshop to change gearbox(GM).
May I know anyone have change it? What's the cost?

One thing with transmissions is that it'll cost you $3k to possibly $4k to get it rebuilt (labor and cost). Even then, there's no guarantee that your problems will forever be fixed. Engine rebuilds have much higher success rates.
Another option is to consider a used transmission, but you're also taking a gamble there.
