Glass coating on windows & windscreens

Hi, I will be taking up a paint protection package which includes glass coating for the windows and windscreens. Will glass coating affect performance of:
1. Wipers? A friend suggested to skip coating the front windscreen as his wipers did not function properly after the coating.
2. Automatic headlights?

From my personal experience, the wipers shrudder after the Glass coating. I would avoid that.
