Would like advice on this problem I have been facing for the past 2 weeks. I am driving E34 91 Model 24 Valve M50.
While driving at the 4 to 5th gear change, I usually hear like a "Farting" sound coming from the gearbox. Brought my car to a mechanic who is quite well versed on BMW cars. He told I need to change the whole gearbox and told me it will cost me a bomb. Ask him how much will it cost he just smile.
Guys, would really give me some advice what I can do to solve this problem. I am really at lost.
