Hi Bros, anyone here can advise why when you change to coilovers, u always set the gap between the tire and the fender smaller at the rear than at the front? Or is there something wrong with my setup.....thanks for ur advise...

Re: Gap between front and rear tires

That's called "slamming" the ride! :)

Its up to you to decide how you want your ride to look as long as your ride is parallel to the ground. And example can be my car: 1 finger gap front and 1/2 finger gap rear. Some pple go 0 gap fronts and rear tires are slightly tucked in. Its all up to your personal preference.

Cheers!

U walk back 3 meters, look at the side of your car! Tell me which fender is higher.....

U can look at mine if you dun have time....kekekeke

Why I want to have 1 finger gap in the front & -1 finger gap in the rear is bcos I want the car to be horizontally flat...

If you have the same finger gapping.....U'll find that your car's arse will be higher.....

Got it??

Mine would be 1/2 finger front and 1 finger rear. This would give it a menacing stance.
But end of the day it boils down to owner's preference

I thought there is suppose to be some ground rules to follow....I really dun know....if the leveling not right, it would affect the handling of the car...cannot just suka suka, rt?

Re: Gap between front and rear tires

Leean, you have to take your sideskirts and the clearance height into account. The normal height for most sedans is 2 fingers front 1 finger rear. My previous sedan was running on Hamann kit, and with that configuration could not clear many humps. My current ride is running on 0.5 finger front, 0 finger rear. Same problem with clearing many humps.
