Funny smell after changing air filter

Hi guys,

after i serviced my car i changed my stock air filter to K&N then not too sure why after that when engine idle or after driving i park that time got this damn funny smell.

I dont think it smells of carbon though. any one can shed some light on this issue?

Sorry for that i forgot to add this. No smell from inside the vehicle. Only outside the vehicle then have. Engine idle with windows down also have.

LOL PS. 2005 E90 320i not roofless.

Probably just the smell of oil from the filter. It should go away after a while.

u can try airing your car by driving with windows down
works for me when i was trying to get rid of the durian smell in my car previously
or u can try putting ionizer or charcoal

try driving with roof-off on ecp at abt 120km/hr
my earpiece almost fly off sitting in my bro's peugeot
think your ride will be freaking "aired" hahaha

just kidding...airing combined with the ionizer or charcoal should help.
but for foul smell that got into the car fabrics such as cigarette smell....u will need more heavy duty stuff like Febreeze etc.

if it is a Topless car? roof off?

LOL so sorry i didn't add addition info. its an 2005 E90 320i.

and only outside the vehicle can smell the smell.. inside dont have.

unable to go roofless unless cut it off.
