Fuel Consumption for E60

[nitrox]

As above for the 520i.. i'm only getting 7.5km per litre with 50 - 50 city and highway driving.

Is this unusualiy high or normal? guys?

i used to hv 13.3l/100 km on my 530 b4 i sold it. n i hv a heavy foot. get rid of ur cats. use a good air filter n u will drop to 12l/100 for a 520 easily

I get about 7.7km/l on my 525. I am on 19" rims and just drop in a K&N filter from BVO.

Are you on stock rims?

My 523Lci's fuel consumption is 6.9 to 7.2.
Is it bad? Looking at the other posts, mine seems to be very bad.

I think the LCI 5s didn't come with the battery saving feature right? Can't remember the term they use for it, something like Regenerative braking or something like that.... That's supposed to save petrol....

I'm getting about 7 - 7.5km/l....

Sorry, what's LCI? Seen the acronym around but dunno what it stands for.

Anyway, am driving the FL 523, getting between 7.8 and 8.2 km/l on about 70:30 urban:highway driving.

The FL is the LCI.
:yikess: your fuel consumption is good.
Mine manages to reach 7.2 that too when driving up on the NS highway.
I hope nothing is wrong with my FC.

The FC is dependent on a few factors, one of which is the speed you drive at. If you averaging 150kmh, its not bad, especially continous highway driving....

Drove up to KL last month. I normally calculate the FC manually, but I seem to have misplaced the fuel receipt from that trip.

Anyway, the trip computer was showing 8.5L/100 km (11.76 km/l) at constant speeds of 130-140 km/h. I guess that can't be right?

Must track down that fuel receipt to calculate it manually. :thinking:

Didn't manage to track down the fuel receipt, but traced how much I charged for fuel at the end of the run back from KL. And I remember what my mileage was at that point.

FC = 10.65 km/l

my lowest was 5.1km/L .... now mine is about 6.9km/L .... highest was 9km/L

You're right, bro. On highway all the way except for jam when trying to get out of KL.

I guess to achieve 13-15 km/l, we will have to be disciplined and keep to 80-90 km/h? Very hard to do that on the Nouth-South Highway. :twisted:
