Front spacer feedback?

Upgrade Front BBK, therefore needed 12mm spacer to clear rims,.

Question:
What is the effect if we add spacer at the front only? Know about the inside tyre + bearing wear and tear.... but otherwise, any bro can share the effect of only spacer added to the front?

2) Do I also need to add a 12mm spacer to the rear to balance the equilibrium? Most of the time I know spacers are added to rear rather than front. Ride looks a bit weird with the front (spacer added) protruding outward more than the rear.
Is it recommended to add a 12mm spacer to the rear?

I am assuming your spacers are hubcentric. Even so:

(1) You are obviously trying to use the spacers to rectify a wrong wheel clearance to fit the BBK. Issue should not be whether the rear should add spacers at all, but the rational of the front spacers in the first place.

(2) Ever thought of the impact of 12mm on your bolts? The load is no longer applied at the root of the bolts. It is now applied 12mm away from the bolt root. Added stress on your bolts. Do you know the load tolerance of your bolts AFTER the spacers? And we are talking about front wheels, where the braking load is heavy........

(3) The rear spacers have a lesser concern as compared to the front because of lesser brake load. Your second question reflects your concern to make a second mistake to cover the first.

Re: Front spacer feedback?

Low quality or poorly installed Spacer may also cause wheel vibration at higher speed.
Just MHO....

this Red car rx7 owner is very unlucky, all 4 wheels came off together?
have a look carefully(correct me if i am wrong) the 20 studs are quite short meanning insufficient thread engaged or all 20pc nuts are not properly tightened by the mechanic.
But cant properly is that any wheels spacer mounted .
anyway any good quality auto parts sold in the open market are mostly for street use only unless otherwise stated is a racing performance parts.

Good Quality poor installation also can have problem too

Re: Front spacer feedback?

12mm is alot of thickness loss on the studs. If really need a spacer, get one that has longer stud on it. It will be costly though.
