Forum full of watches, f1, NDP, IPads etc sellers

i just wonder wtf is happening to the forum.
why are we filled with so many thick skinned peddlers filling up pages and pages of f1 tickets, watch selling threads and yet not a freaking single decent post to even contribute to the forum as a member??

shame on u.....u cheapos

from a member who cares abt the forum

anyway, open forum webby, click on new posts and all i can see are those peddlar posts, some quite arrogant in their replies to our own fellow members. see liao of cos hot sia.....

its not suddenly john....its probably in the forum for like a yr+ or even more but the sellers were more discreet then....and then suddenly, all these sellers takes the forum like a pasar.
like what the admins have posted previously, if it were some genuine members selling off some of their own stuff, i have nothing to bitch abt it then.
but some of these ppl just post to sell stuff most of the times, not even a single decent member posts or even a tcss one like ipoh-horfuns.....very evidently they are just in here to post n sell, hi n bye....thats it.
to me, they are just bloody leeches on the forum....nothing to contribute and i don't think they planned to in the 1st place anyway.

apologies for my harsh remark but i dun like to mince my words.

i still feel a forum should be what its supposed to be and not be clogged up by such non-contributory ppl

I can see where you are coming from, but here's my take:

(1) the sale should be fine if posted in the non-BMW-related folder - that's what the folder was created for.
(2) the sale should be fine if posted for personal items, and not for commercial reasons.

I see the word "watches" being mentioned. I am a watch fan. So are many forumers, as with the Audi forum. I reckoned that to be a common interest amongst the BMW and Audi forumers. I saw many watches-related threads posted by forumers, selling their individual collection. I am "guilty" of that myself. But by and large, most are not commercially related. I am not sure if this is a questionable issue, if forumers chose to use this platform to trade watches.

But so will the validity of any sale of personal items be, from personal furnitures, iPhones, iPads, helmets, F1 shirts, navigators, hotel room stays, plants......

I guess your concern stems from whether the items are paid for and whether they are commercially driven? Example FOC NDP tickets?

yes Kenn,

i don't mind members selling their watches as i realise alot of them do.
but some dudes are on pure commercial basis if u have noticed.
those are the ones i am talking abt..

u can probably see them flooding every forum u can find with their peddlings

Steven, I agree with your point. You can tell which seller is forumer and which are just vendors. The admin has to be fair about this.

So what's the solution? 100 posts minimum + at least 5 meetups (verifiable by few other forumers with at least 100 posts) ? Just thinking aloud the distinction between a forumer and a vendor-forumer.
