For those who have 166 M5 Rims

Need advice from the bros here:

Are these rims style166 M5 (BMW original) really much heavier than other brands like BBS, Breyton, AC etc?

For 523, will the performance of staggered (in terms of weight and drag) be different from "same width all round"?

Lastly, I am looking for a used set, any seller here? As posted, I have a set of 17" and 18" to swap (as alternative).

weight is 11.33kg. not much heavier, in fact if weight is an issue forget this and forget all those u mentioned above. they r definitely heavier than ur 124s. u will feel it during acceleration. however pair them with PS2s and the performance shoots up a few notches when u are driving the car hard...they look great but they r soooo easy to curb.

Thanks bro for sharing ... M5 rims really not much heavier ... the sad thing is it is not easy to find a used set ....

i understand that someone driving 545 is thinking of letting go the M5 rims, hope to hook up with him .... otherwise the the price of the new rims and tyres are a real killer ...

Be careful when you are parking.

My M5 166 kena curb and 2 rims got scratches during 1st week of usage!

Got to be very careful cos it curb really easily..... now gotta look for Yew Lip soon!

Bro, kerbing can happen to most rims, not juz these ones. May I recommend buying 2 blind spot mirrors for $4, one for each side mirror. Works for me and helps in my parallel and reverse parking coz I know how kerbing can result in heart pain. Worst if the rims are chrome.

When parking, it's better to be a little out then too near the kerb coz after all, other motorists will watch your protruding car anyway hehehe....
but not too out of coz.
