Footwell light question

Sorry if this is mundane, but is the footwell light supposed to come on in driver's side when the headlights are on and the door opened?

I just noticed that my E46 320 has a footwell light housing on the driver's side even though from day 1 when I got the car, there was no light in the driver's footwell but the passenger's was on.

It will come on when your ceiling (dome) lights come on. Check the bulb if only one side's footwell lights come on. Mine blew about 2 weeks ago.

Anyone wants to buy a set of OEM footwell lights which I got from PML.

I bought them to instal in my Z3 but in the end decided not to do so as I would have to cut the glove box to do so. You don't have to cut the glove box in an E46 as already comes ready for installation.

I will let them go for less than the price you would have to pay at PML.

BTW, you stay in Sengkang? I work in Rivervale Plaza and there's a chio Z4 and a red ACS E46 parked there sometimes.
