Did they give u a ticket or written warning? If not, can continue trying your luck. Alot of cars equipped with fogs e.g. Altis etc and the owners are switching them even in clear weather. I used to drive with juz angel eyes and fogs coz damn good looking but now that I have installed xenons, I juz switch on front and rear fogs in very very heavy rain.

the short answer to that would be yes.
the only reason for having foglights is for very low visibility situations.
In good visibility situations, foglights are almost as bad as driving with high beam on.
i usually use the angle eyes wit fog lights... i dont tink is dat glaring. Its not fair for cars that equip with fog lights, might as well juz throw it away....

if other drivers behind me has lights that are on hi-beam or glaring me... i just turn on my rear fog lite to blind them back... kekekeke!!! tit for tat!!!
I got stop at a road block prolly a month back.. the policeofficer straight away told me nicely " sir, can u pls turn ur fog lights off". i cannot be bothered la... just turn it off.. no trouble.. drive away and turn it on again .. muahahhaa...

actually, i realised that sometimes it isn't the poor chap's fault... its just that we sit so low in our zeds that SUV headlights become blinding, even when they are on low beam.
in any case, you turn on rear fog also no use... the beam's probably aimed too low to irritate most drivers.
My thoughts only:
Front Fog lites very useful when heading north along highway at night; simply clears the traffic.
Otherwise useless during normal visibility situations as they shine down (when adjusted correctly)
Rear fog lites very useful during heavy rain to prevent speedboats from bumping your rear; but notice too that up north the drivers use the hazard device (rightly or wrongly)
Otherwise useless during normal visibility situations unless you want to warn a tail-gater off without actually stepping on the brakes.
But that can cause a duel to start between you and him/her and ahem...starts getting risky.
Therefore, dear friends please use fog lites judiciously. You're the best judge of the road conditions you are driving in.
heh i get it now.
if use normal headlights, people cannot admire angel eyes.... so only way to get around is to use foglights and angel eyes....
there are some would say that is being inconsiderate for the sole purpose of showing off.
