Fitting rear trunk Spoiler - Will it Damage Paintwork?

I'm keen to fit an original spoiler on the rear trunk of a black sapphire e90. I understand an adhesive is used.

Is the adhesive likely to damage the original paintwork if I eventually remove the spoiler?

Are the colour of the original spoilers always a perfect match for the colour of the car?

Thanks.

Usually, a double-sided tape is used. If not, silicon glue can be used instead. Removing it MAY damage the paintwork but more often than not, there would be a slight discolouration of that area cuz its being covered by the spoiler and not exposed to the UV rays as the rest of the car body. Don't worry about it!

Colour on an original piece or a replica piece will yield the same result, it is just down to the craftmanship of the painter.

Cheers,
Sam
