The Filipinos are actually very friendly people la...yes they party in Orchard road and sit at staircases but when u politely request them to move away for u to pass, they will do so with a smile and even apologise.

I once asked a group of Singaporean poly students blocking the escalator to move away. One of them turned to me and said "Your father's escalator ahh?"

IMO, not a bad idea but not cheap... remuneration may not neccesary be too high bcos of a wide spread of PinoyG and --G.

Singaporeans don't do low level construction work - period. So what to do ? If get all the workers from one place then there is a concentrated risk. So diversify the foreign resources to mitigate the risks.

1) Agree with u on that... 'party pinic laid-back' culture... but still irk me once 'too many', don't respect rome and try to implant their culture in rome.

2) Reply in kind... "Is it your father's escalator? This is my grandfather's building".
