robot.. u also drive the same way as i do sia.. i always try to maintain it at 6l/100km... now i testing whether get to speed fast den cruise or light foot to cruise speed better...
If no traffic in front, get to speed fast is better (see jinooi's post earlier). Of course if city driving, no need to chiong and then have to e-brake again at red light. Jiat you....

Re: FC comsumption for e46 318i

ok, the E46 318 has 2 x O2 sensors. Dunno cost yet. The 320 has 4 of the bastards.

Like i said, when i replaced it on my car in AUS, which is a 4 litre, I got an extra 100k's per tank

Re: FC comsumption for e46 318i

The other thing to do.
Which I spoke about in my other thread.

Is Piggyback the bugger.
Usually factory tunes are pretty rich.

So coupled with a good tuner, who can lean out the AF ratios at the right spots.
Smooth out the hp/torque curves

MORE power...
LESS consumption...
(Whoever thought that was possible!)

So, fixing the o2 sensors. if really problematic
Sounds promising... :)

If the Cost-Bens make sense in the long run.
100km/tank = 12L

$24 saved per tank.

Re: FC comsumption for e46 318i

ok.. i'll chiong up to speed asap..

phil.. change ur o2 sensors on ur car den tell mi the diff whether got increase mileage and smoothness of engine k?

Re: FC comsumption for e46 318i

Re: FC comsumption for e46 318i

Honestly speaking, whether light footed or heavy footed, the increase in actual $ is not much. The most $50 or $100 a month. Buy any item for modding and it costs more than that.
So just drive the way you like. Chiong or turtle, it's not important, just drive safe.

Wah, robot suddenly so wise...

lets say $75..
can buy:
6 packs of top quality cigs
12 lunch/dinner
3/5 of an angel eye
34L of petrol = 280km
1 x petrol and tolls up to KL

but wat robot say is rite lar.. drive safe is the most important.. coz if not get in to accident confirm more money..

Put it in simple terms, or I call it iscoupe terms, $75 = 42 mins at damalu (round down to nearest minute).:lol2: Can't even have a full 45 mins session!
