Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

The coolant fault is minor - P2184.

The P0420/0430 faults are indicating failing cats ..... clear it and see if it comes back.

Hi RBB

Thank for the reply.

The coolant fault if u remember. Is it the coolant temperature themostat sensor? I remember last time u read my car code and found this issue and i had asked the workshop to change for me. Dun tell me they didnt change it? Or cos they install 3rd party one then will have this fault? Mmm... Or they changed and didnt clear the fault?

As for the failing cats...... serious and expensive?

Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

The coolant one maybe never clear code .......

Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

Ok. today i cleared the fault.

The coolant one still appear. Checked my receipt of last service which as them to change it. It stated as " to supply & replace radiator temperature sensor (after radiator outlet)". Different items or same as what the fault code stated?

The cats gone now...

Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

From the description - P2184 - I think there are 2 temperature sensors ........

Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

so meaning i should change the other sensor at my next servicing?

Re: Fault read out from OBD reader

Ask them to check .....
