Those with an F30 and having bad knocking sounds over humps (especially going over at an angle) or over undulating ground can solve this problem with a part no. 32 10 6 891 974.
PML could not fix this issue and claimed that the entire steering rack needs replacing, which is $3000. They even had the audacity to say that it was normal for the 328 when they failed to fix it.
For anyone unsure if you have this problem, turn your steering wheel violently left and right when the car is stationary. The sound is very obvious. And I think it is apparently more so for the early batches of cars. 2012 - 2014.
