F30 New battery coding

Hi, just changed my battery for F30 318i from original 90ah to an 80ah
The workshop did battery registration, but they did not code for the lower battery capacity. is there a way to get this done myself? or someone who can help?

from what i read, battery coding must be done so that the car recognizes how much to charge the battery!

thanks!

thanks for your advice! but i according to the workshop, it only needs registration and no need coding. not sure how true that is

The coding for the lower AH is done during the registration. You said they didnt change it to the lower AH. Call it whatever coding or registration just get them to do it right i suppose

Here is an example from BimmerLink

thanks for the advice everyone! i ended up buying a $7 ethernet to OBDII cable on shopee and used ESYS to code in the new battery capacity.
