F30 - Made in Germany or South Africa

Was told that the earlier batches of 3 series was from Germany and current batches from South Africa.

Quite easy to check since the label plate on the driver's side state made in Germany if it is from Germany. Otherwise it doesn't state where it is made in.

Did a check on my VIN. Manufactured in Aug 2013. But made in Germany.

There is a code in the vin to denote where is the manufacturing plant...
Not the made in xxxxxxx on the plate... Mine says made in Germany, but my plant is South Africa...


It is the 11th alphabet.

Made in Africa or Germany are the same technology. When you sell, both still based on market value. No different lor.

just like e90 ... whether made in Germany or SA still got the oil leak, vanos, oil pump, water pump, radiator and many other parts up lorry when time is due from wear and tear.
