That post is outdated. The pistons are different causing the compression ratio to be different. That post still says both are running 10:1 ratio.

It has been proven by opening up the engine and looking at the piston dome. The 328 is 10:1 ratio and the 320 is 11:1 ratio.

The higher cr on the 320 do not allow higher boost and it runs a different fuel mapping.

Basically, think a NA ENGINE with 11 cr. now u want to turbo charge it. U can maximum run say 1 bar. If u want higher boost, either use higher octane or lower compression by using thicker gaskets / change pistons.

Another interesting read.... Once the DME is cracked, do a piston swap, trans switch and the 320 = 328 in terms of engines performance... Profit~~

Supposedly axles (at least for the rear) between the 2 are different also.

x20i stock = 184bhp/270Nm = more than enough

those who desire for some more power
x20i conservative tuned (20% up) = 220bhp/320Nm = best bang for the buck liao
