F10 Wiper blade removal - how?

This may be a stupid question but....Anyone knows how to remove the wiper blade from the F10?...the wiper arm just cannot be folded up in the traditional way so that the wiper blade can be flipped back to unclip from the wiper arm catch....in my amateur way, it keeps hitting the edge of the bonnet....tried with the bonnet released partly up/halfwayup/fullyup....still hits the edge of the bonnet...:oooops::huhhuh:

I'm not sure abt the F10, but my dad's car has this same prob. You could try to switch the wiper on and while it's not in its resting place(meaning, while it's erected), switch off the engine. The hinge should be slightly spaced from the turning pivot. Hope this helped. Cheers!

How about trying with the hood up? Does that work?

Oh. I doubt its a flaw. Surely, there must be a way. I was at PML just now, forgot to ask them about it. :oooops:

OK. Found the solution in the owners handbook ...it seems that there is a 3-second release mechanism for the wipers to "move" into an upright position for wiper changing...have tried it and release is manual to raise the wiper arms to upright position... although it seems that in the handbook, the movement upright is supposed to be auto...?

Wow. Ok. Glad you found the solution. You've got a physical handbook too? I thought the owner's manual is in the iDrive itself. maybe there's a physical one lest the battery in the car fails.
