F10 brake pads replacement - after just 36,000 km?

Anyone knows if this is correct?
The OBC says rear pads due to be replaced.....
Methinks the mileage seems too short....

If true, any recommendations for external workshop to change?

cannot rely on the obc 100%
must do physical check to ascertain the brake pad condition

About there, my merc front break pad also had to change below 40k. Also largely depends on how often u apply breaks too.

I think it also boils down to your style of driving.

I changed the pads on my E90 after about 30k+ Singapore roads a lot of start/stopping

Yikes... mine still have about 8k to go, at 54,000 km! But i consciously do not accelerate to the point that i have to brake, and coast as much as i can before braking.

Unfortunately, I'm a more kanchiong driver

Actually, my change was closer to 35k. Still, it's not fantastic.

I think i was scarred by my dad last time - he used to chew thru his E46 brake pads every 9 months which is insane. But start stop traffic is annoying cos accelerating and braking can't be helped. The the way the LTA times the traffic light changes also....

I totally agree with your last sentence.

It's do or die with the timings.

But I forgot to add... I only replace front brake pads. Back no change yet.... currently at 56k.

How come must do at 36000km ? Who define this benchmark to replace the pads ?
