is the FC of around 5km/l in the city area normal for a 520i????

Not true. Optimal back pressures, flow rate, etc. it's all very technical. Just like last time my FC improved after I swapped to lighter forged rims. Might save 0.1km/liter, doubt the discussion is worth our time honestly. Better off buying a hybrid.

hmm, yeah makes sense. My only concern is that if my current FC is not normal for a stock car, then I might have to make a trip to PML and look into getting the injectors cleaned and what not...

Ask yourself about your travel pattern (lots of start-stop driving vs highway? Lots of idling?) and driving habits (heavy footed?) before checking with PML.
As FC is a primary concern for performance, prepare to sell the car if FC issue is not sorted out.

Sounds ok for medium-hard city driving for E60, don't know about F10. How has it changed for you over the years? If not, just relax on the gas pedal and enjoy the view of the OLs in the city... I do...
If u change exhaust, FC confirm worse. Cos u will rev at the red to make the OL turn her head...

Since urs is not a FC comparison thread like some of the other immature threads...I would be very interested to know how come its so bad.
Variables:
1. City driving, jam most of the way? FC sure HIGH
2. Petrol tank leaking? Doubtful
3. You rev like a champion? Maybe
4. You go up slope a lot and jam on slope? Maybe
Choose any one that fit you.
If none, then ur petrol tank maybe BMW use an M5 one..

I usually drive from Orchard to Suntec and back, I have the start-stop system to permanently off through coding and drive on comfort modee, haha not much space to be heavy footed...but there are quite a few traffic lights...

I will be rude in my response.
Since u already buy such an expensive car, who cares about FC?
For FC calculation, shouldn't u use paper/pen/calculator to do it rather than car computer?
Lastly, ur car confirm will have bad FC because it is choked with carbon for juz driving in the city. It is better u drive a golf cart. Cheaper.
