Kelver,

Just one comment. In the installation process, will:

(1) some part of the eyelid be latched or taped between the bonnet and the headlight to secure itself?

(2) the indicator portion be secured as well? Or mere 3M tape?

My point is that there are some idiots going around stripping out these mods, especially if and when they figure out that it is just tape-on cosmetic jobs.

I have lost one M3 lip spoiler in Parkway Parade and one pair of Hamann eyelids in Bukit Panjang.

Hate those f**kers! Can't keep their hands to themselves! :shoot:

Can't wait to see his ride with the new eyelids! Never seen them in Spore before!

kenntona, you mean these eyelids are actually able to be secured? i always thought that they were just stick-ons.

i've a pair of hamann eyelids but i haven't gotten around to fixing it... And i can see that its mostly taped on cuz u don't want to get to a situation where u sell your headlights and while removing your eyelids, spoil either one or both!

Probably another concern is that it might "block" the CCFL, prevent it from showing it's fully lighted ring

The one with the not so correctly fixed sharks fin? That one har? Oh

This is the stick on using 3M tape. So potentially could be stripped out by vandalism.

Damage is around SGD80 including courier.

Have not got it installed, as it will be shipped to my best pal house at California. I am going to visit him in Jan 05, so can save some freight charges and collect from him.

Just curious, when u shipped to Cali, did u have to pay some form of GST? Seems like a lot of pple living in Cali always get slapped with a "GST" for importing stuff into their state.

*Furiously looking through product catalogues for stuff* :laughlik:

Sam,

Different US states have diff local sales tax. Some states are tax free. California is either 12% or 12.5%. When I was there for a year and bought a car, pte seller kept quiet and when I register my transfer, the local Dept of Motor Vehicle slapped me with this 12% tax. Painful like shit.

The Hamann eyelids are meant to be secured with 3M tapes. But it is designed with a "L" bone rather than a "flat" piece. The "L" bone allows the eyelid to be insert between the headlight and the rubber trimming running along the headlight. When the bonnet is slam shut, any vandal will not be able to peel the eyelid out.
