Extended warranty

Was recently introduced by my friend to this. Was wondering if any of you here heard or uses this service? He signed up for silver package and I thought of doing so but don't know is it worth it.

How normally does e90 320i malfunction? Twn warranty (Google it).

Re: Extended warranty

How old is your ride?

A few of us were on the said waranty programme..... simple stuffs, easy to claim, but not as clearcut. You have to service your car at their designated workshops, which include only BVO and MBM. They had Boss previously. Also, the claim process is not so direct - it is not a case of "repair at BVO/MBM and then claim from the said insurer" - no,

Ask around with the relevant workshops mentioned and get a real feel.

Re: Extended warranty

TWM Warranty.....You can forget about this.....my experience was they are playing 'hide & seek' with you......

Not worth the trouble unless you are very free to follow up and can 'tehan' their taji game claims process.

:whythis::furious:

Re: Extended warranty

Bro then what other options with regards to warranty .... i juz spoken to TWM my thoughts on their pricing are reasonable though .... at least a piece of mind in case shitt crops up

Re: Extended warranty

Talk to the panel of authorised workshops first..... they are the ones fixing your car and claiming on your behalf if things really go wrong.....

Re: Extended warranty

I used TWM for four of my family cars. Am happy with them. They also gave me a discount. I also have special arrangement with them wrt servicing.

My current E60 warranty due next month. I will be signing up with them within next two weeks. Anybody keen to tie up for a discount can PM me.

I only work on the price discount. All other matters, individual liaise with TWM direct.

Procedure (if your car is still under PML warranty)

1. Got to PML for one servicing or Inspection check. Ask them to ERASE COMPUTER FAULT MEMORY. TWM will plug in their computer to check for faults and they are uncomfortable with faults listed in the computer.

2. Arrange with TWM for car inspection. They will test drive your car and inspect it to make sure there are no faults.

3. Upon their acceptance, sign agreement and warranty is activated.

I bought the silver package for my 4-year-old E90 in august last year. My main intention was to cover myself against any gearbox issues but till date I have already claimed repairs for leaking engine oil and replacement of a/c condenser coil. Claim process is quite straightforward, just drive in to their workshop, tell them the problem and they will check and call me back to advise if the repairs are covered by warranty.

I believe the cost of my recent claims have already exceeded the money I paid upfront, so the next 2 years are like free warranty for me. :D

BVO is no longer one of their authorized workshop.

Re: Extended warranty

I believe one criteria is that you have to service your rides at their approved workshops..... which leave MBM and Khang?

Out of the two, which one offers better service and lower rate?
