Man crashes into Toyota while test-driving S$2m Bugatti Veyron
TAMPA BAY - The dealer for this US$1.6 million (S$2 million) Bugatti Veyron will probably remember this prospective customer for quite some time.
A potential customer damaged the million-dollar supercar by backing it into a bread-and-butter car on a crowded main road, website examiner.com reported.
n the video the male customer took more than 30 seconds to move the Veyron's rear wheels onto the road due to heavy traffic. But when he finally backed the car onto the main street, he crashed into a stationary Toyota. This despite a spotter who was standing on the main road.
The driver's day turned for the worse when he shifted the Veyron into the parking lot of the dealership and scraped its nose as well.
According to Examiner, the Bugatti Veyron has "horrible blind spots" and because of that, the driver could not see where he was going.
In the same report, it mentioned that the 'unofficial' accident bill was over $30,000.
Bugatti Veyrons are limited in number and therefore, the number of mechanics who can repair them are proportionately rare.
$2m Bugatti smacks it into a Toyota
According to an Autocar report, a routine servicing for the Veyron costs some £12,866 (S$26,703). In contrast, annual servicing for a Ferrari Enzo is just £1680.
