SINGAPORE: The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has lowered the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates by between 50 cents and a dollar at 12 gantries for the June school holidays.

The changes mainly affect the morning peak period.

The gantries which will see lower ERP rates include Bukit Timah Expressway, Bendemeer Road, Dunearn Road and Thomson Road.

Meanwhile, the LTA has also said the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) operating hours for foreign vehicles will end earlier at noon on weekdays, from May 28 to June 26.

This is in conjunction with the June school holidays.

VEP fees remain non-chargeable on Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore Public Holidays.

This is part of the ongoing initiatives to attract foreign visitors to Singapore, especially during the Singapore school holidays.

Re: ERP rates lowered for June holidays

Wah I am so happy ah. Thanks to LTA for helping to cope with 4.5 % inflation ah. Our highly paid transport minister is so brilliant, and those at LTA are so uniquely SG elite:shakebon:......no wonder their salaries so high.

But wait...eh! This month I can save how many dollars on ERP huh ?

Re: ERP rates lowered for June holidays

COE and ERP are big jokes

they are supposed to manage congestion but the roads are still jammed
the only thing they did was help the gov make more money

Re: ERP rates lowered for June holidays

Err...is this in preparation for next price increased...:). These days things are so doubtful.

Re: ERP rates lowered for June holidays
