It is not possible in aftermarket because the engine slightly longer (by a few mm) than available space in E90 front overhang.

it IS possible i reckon. Even E30s can take V8s and V12s. but of course i'm sure ur just asking hypothetically cos its 'illegerl' and u'll get your nuts chopped off

heck, i'm sure u can drop in an LS1
