Hi any bro/sis, know or owned this ride before? care to share history?

Please help if anyone knows about the history of this ride, or even if this dealer is ok?

Many thanks in-advance ("Kam Siah"):helpp!:

Used BMW 325i Car for Sale in Singapore, Trust Motoring - sgCarMart

I doubt you are going to get any info on the history, seriously. If one owns this before, and had issues, quite unlikely one is going to tell the truth. Otherwise, you may get those, "my friend's neighbour's cousin's lion's sister's classmate's ex-ride", which may not be credible.

I recommend that you check the credibility of the car dealing shop instead.

TRUST, it says.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

If I am a good friend of the owner, I will face a dilemma telling you.

If I do not know the owner, I don't know what to tell you.

If I know a bit about the car but cannot verify, I will be spreading rumour if I tell you.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

before you commit, best is bring the car to your fav workshop 2nd opinion checking on wear and tear, tell tale sign of accident/flood and error codes. the cost for checking should be < $150. worth it.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

Lol, just trying to find out a little, don't expect much.

Understand the logic.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

Last time someone actually PM me and told me that the car I was looking at belongs to his bro, haha.

But that is like winning 4D, very rare. Most of the time just rely on mileage data, age of car, pre-checks, etc.

And most importantly, luck. Paiseh this one Robot cannot help....:)

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

Thanks for the info wt_know.

Yes intend to do that, just trying to find out a little more if possible (history of the car), to just work out the rough figure on refurbishing cost, change all wear and tears, etc. (of course excludes: major accident, engine and gear box problem) before deciding.

Saw the ride, cause interior looks abused, it seems not tally with the mileage?? (my thoughts)

Cheers

If it creates a doubt, either clear the doubt or walk away. There are plenty of BMWs around.

After my car sold to dealer, i can't even see my 1.5 y/o ex car on the road.

I want to tell him.

1. Intake hose was glued up, beware when rev hard.
2. Gearbox was super jerk after i drag with friend's Golf GTi.
3. My Custom DRL cannot buy on local because it was DIY custom made by myself. So if it's burnt, just leave it.
4. Do not try to remove door panel, because something was super messed up with insulation glue.
5. Stock suspension and brake'kit was super good condition since it was remove day 1.
6. Dont ask me why de-badge, because my daughter like it to stick on her toy car.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

Hi Kenntona, thanks for the tinkle.

There are many BMWs around, but either not within budget or preferred interior, and still gotta factor in wear/tear cost & mods in mind.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

don't know about you... but for me,
'08 with 61,000km and 2 owner(maybe 2 transfer=3owner, dealers nowadays sometimes don't know the difference) is not something I would look at unless you are prepared to spend approx. $8K to fix up potential issues. most will agree that 80-100K is a critical period for BMW.

I bought a '07 130K 0 transfer 320XL, thinking that this is the previous owner's daily/only car; since he bought it new, would have "loved" it with TLC; since its way passed the critical mileage, now thing would have been changed/repaired. So after the car has not let me down, the only thing that's costing me money is the itchy backside I have and this poisonous forum.

buying a car based on low mileage is something I feel not right. these machines are built to be driven in much larger countries across states / country on regular basis, not tiny island of Singapore.

Re: Enquiring history of this ride

Thanks, Got your point, and precisely if ride is not having the 3 stated problems (i.e., major accident, engine & gear box), may even considered of spending a little more to repair/change all forthcoming wear and tear before enjoying till end.
