engine oil top up

Hi guys,

isit normal to top up 1 L of engine oil every 3 months? :errr:

my car has no oil leakage..

Bro,

Any smoke from your exhaust...3 months is pretty fast to lose ur EO....but it does also depend on ur millage clocked as indicated by C3P0,,,,icould be a case of oil leaking via Valve seals and getting burnt off.....i am having a similar prob...getting it sorted at Khang Auto. I have the white smoke symptom....just thought of sharing

The last time my low oil indicator came out, it was 6k km too. I'm using 0w40 too.
But I only top up 600ml because that was what I had in the leftover bottle. But ok le, warning went off

BMW's official tolerance is 1L of engine oil every 1,600km but to play safe, anything more than 1L every 3,000km u shld get ur car checked.

my car doesnt seem to lose engine oil in between servicing intervals so i guez i'm lucky... or my sensor is faulty hahahaha

My car is serviced at 8k intervals based on the system's setting. The oil level is always at maximum level, so no oil is lost.

Hi, my e60 just showed low engine oil alert. I have 2000 km until next scheduled service. Last oil change was at pml. What should I do? Top up oil? What oil should I use for top up? Can mix oil ? Please advise.

top up for now.. just buy 1 quartz. cost abt $14.

different brands of oil can be mixed as long as the oil grade is the same.. if urs is 0w40, make sure use 0w40 lor..
