Enabling visual lock confirmation

I read from some where that the e46 can be programmed to have this visual lock confirmation, where the signal lights will blink when you lock the car. This feature seem pretty useful.
I was just wondering if i have to bring it down to PML to do it or can I do it at workshops like BVO or J4C. I'll be going down Sin Ming area over the next few days, so i was just hoping someone could help?
Any know whats the likely cost of asking them to activate the blinking of the lights?? Thanks

Do you have an alarm installed? My ride has the OEM alarm and it blinks once when I lock it and twice when I unlock it. I think BVO can do it for a nominal fee

Nope, there is no alarm installed :X

Yes you can do it.

Just require the use of the OBC unit to program the ecu. Did it before on my e46.

Hi ! Xuexun.

Yes ! This can be programmed by PML (Free of Charge).

Signal lights will blink once when you lock the car.
When unlock the signal light will not blink but since interior will light-up it is fine for me

I find this very useful for me

Previously, my wife always request me to check have I locked the car or not

I have brought my car down to BVO and they did it for me free!! There are acutally 2 options for the visual lock confirmation. One is lock blink once, unlock blink twice and the other one is lock blink once, unlock no signal as described by BMWSILVER.
They just connect the computer to the car and activate some of the options and its all done. Thanks to the above who have replied~

Does your clown nose blink when u lock the car? Mine the indicator blinks when i lock and unlock, but the clown nose does not seem to blink.

Erm, my car do not have the clown nose. It doesn't come with my car... not too sure abt that.
