Can any kind soul out there tell me how to go about repairing an electric seat that is jammed? The recliner went down but only 1 side is movable, the other is jammed. I won't go to the details of how/why it got stuck in that position. Its an E39.
Thank you

Sounds like a faulty motor. That seat has many many motors. When I bought my used E39 in 2004, people asked me how come I sit so low. I replied electric seat spoilt, can't raise up or down. 2 years later, people asked me the same qn, I said blardy seat still spoilt. Luckily the exporter did not notice it when I sold the car off. Tried to troubleshoot at BVO a couple of times without success. Didn't go PML coz didn't wanna lose an arm or a leg.
