my electricseat motor on the driver is spoilt, wentt o PML and did a check and the tech said that it's due to a car perfume cap being stuck between the motor and caused it to fail. Now the seat can't move front and back. they void the warranty coz it was due to neglience, and they quoted me a whopping $1500plus for replacement of the motor.
Anyone can advise where I can check if the motor is really damaged and is there any specialist that I can look for to check on the motor again, or get a used motor to replace it. It's really crazy to pay $1.5k to replace the motor just because of a cap, and how easily can this little cap damage the motor? It's really doubtful of their electrical mechanism.
Hope someone here can advise a cheaper alternative. I have already checked with Ron, and hopefully he can come up with something.
