ECU for E60

I kow this has been discussed ad-infinitum however some of the threads are relatively old now (2005) and there may well have been new products on the market in the meantime.

My question is which ECU mapping would you recommend for me (including address and approx cost if possible) and what would be the approx range of BHP improvement be?

For your information i have converted my exhaust to quad, changed my wheels to 18" and put body kit (front Breyton rear original M5).

Will post pictures in next couple of weeks as M5 rear spoiler is arriving from Germany to PML only at the end of this week and they need 4 days to do the modifications. Apparantly this is the first time they have tried putting a M5 bumper on a non M5 car (not the M-aero kit).

Wait for Rob/DMS to come. Many swear his remap is the best. I heard it also cures the 520 hesitation problem.

Huh?? PML is installing M5 parts onto a non-M E60??

They getting lenient eh?? Still got waranty eh??

Yes i do have the hesitation problem, PML suggestion was just to drive in sport mode the whole time. Seemed at the time like a cop-out to me.

Any news as to when this DMS will arive and costing as it sounds like a good solution for me.

As to the M5 bumper, they messed up my claim (someone ran into the back of me at a stop light and they put a stock bumper on despite me insisting not to, now they have a brand new stock bumper with a quad cutout that they have to ditch). So they are flying over an original M5 bumper very reluctantly and have to make some major adjustments behind the bumper to make it fit. I will off course insist on the warranty remaining intact as it will be done by PML.

Any bros here managed to do some tuning to squeeze more power to the de-tuned e60 523?

That guy Mah or Mao? He doesn't do remap. All he'll do is send your ECU by courier to Rob. I'd rather wait for the man to come if I wanted something done; for immediate checking and correction.

if he's got the necessary cables, it might still be able to be done up locally. I just smsed him to ask about it.... no reply yet. not really sure how the arrangement is going to turn out. any updates, pls let all of us know here too.

Was about to take the plunge with DMS but was told that many DMS customers have had issues with the mapping. I have personally not heard that directly from people who have used DMS so you could say that what i have been told is heresay....would therefore, appreciate any inputs from current DMS users

first I hear .... done both my m3 and 996, am very happy customer; have not hear from any of the DMS customers that I know (Porsche, Farreri, Marcr, BMW) had any issues.

M3magic,

I have issue with my MINI last time. To be fair, Rob was a great guy who tried 3 different maps during his 3 seperate visits here. At the end of the day, I got my full refund so he is one great guy to work with, he don't charge u a single cent if you are not happy with his mapping. Just a tab disappointed for me.

Rpm idling issues.
Rev cut before factory redline.
Heat problem after F&F.
