Re: EBC stock rotor replacement and green pads
just changed to ebc reds for both front and rear.
strictly in my opinion...
less brake dust and retain good grip. but only at optimal operating temp. a bit lethargic in the mornings when the pads are cold. cos operating temp is higher than stock pads. but once they are slightly warmed up - gentle braking whilst getting out of carpark - they are fine. by the time i reach them main road, they are already warmed up.
ebc rotors - wanted to get the slotted and dimpled ones, but the distributor here screwed up on the order. so got zimmermans instead. no slots and no dimples. i'm currently on 330-size rotors, so the ebc rotors are damn %#^$ expensive. don't know whether they are worth it, but i could've gotten some other better known brands for that price. mebbe it was a blessing in disguise...
ebc greens - for normal road driving
reds - for street driving
yellow - for street and track
something like that...
but make sure you bed-in the brakes properly. otherwise they'll squeal like crazy.
check with r2d if you're interested.
