Several of my E93 friends have stuck roofs, cannot close window, have to leave the car OPEN in the apartment parking etc.
my sampling is about 5, of which 2 of them in close contact. so it is not an accurate sampling. best is do a google for this problem. `E93 roof sux'Ahbengdriver;307749 said:is it that bad this convetible top? I was almost sucked into it.
I think BMW wanted to make the roof mechanism by themselves.Ahbengdriver;307765 said:mmm so will all those e93 with "sux" rooftops be wholely replaced with a properly functioning one or newer/better one from Kamann?
Damn, cant imagine it starts to pour n the roof cannot close properly.
your best bet is actually to use it often, like once every 2 days or so, just to keep it working.Cabdriver;307848 said:i better pray...

Maybe next time if u have a problem go to Kampong Arang and ask for "RAM" service engineer. He knows the situation and had it solve. Phew...... So far so good.
Thats why i think especially the convertibles is always good to go back to PML for regular service. They will do a thorough check on yr car and u can sleep well.
Yes i do open my top quite regularly which might play a part.
