E93 owner beware of bad plastic surgery

Recently i was due for my first 10k service. Besides the regular service items, i also mentioned to the csa about a slight leak from the hardtop convertible roof. I was very descriptive about the location and even showed him where it was leaking ( top of the windscreen and the first roof panel). So i had to leave the car at the workshop overnight for them to fix the problem.
Anyway 24hrs later i went ot collect my car and was told that they managed to aligned the roof and windows and the water leak test was a success. The csa also told me to not open the roof too frequently ( why buy a convertible was my reply?) When i got home and attempted to wash my car, the water leak situation had worsten.What was only a few drops turned into a stream. So i decided to retract the roof and inspected what was done. To my amazement the mechanics applied silicon to the window rubber seals between the rear, mid and foward panel but except where the leak actially was . They only applied a light grease to the windscreen rubber seals I was surprised that this is the method of fixing a leaking roof. Has any other E93 owner experienced this before?

Epic. I hope they lose the distributorship here. Pathetic. Anyway, I think Alexandra side is run by faggots. Honestly, I have experienced nothing but stellar after-sales from Kg.Arang side. Very well managed and experienced.

I usually go back to PML but I tried a private workshop recently. As I was fixing different things, i wasn't able to compare the difference in pricing. Does PML usually charge more?

Maybe they dont like you as usual. I have had very good experience there so far. Much more organised and committed. Also depends on the SA. The SA i got also I use him regularly so maybe thats why.

i feel that this kinda stuff is heng suay wan. I have very good experiences so far at Alexandra, depends on the SA you get as well. Have a friend who goes Kg Arang, curse and swear.

That's almost ALWAYS a given.
i believe their workshop is a massive profit centre.

I can only say get your car far far away from them.
The moment you get a chance. (i.e. warranty expire etc)

Sometime, I rather go outside workshop if the thing to fix is minor......I had very bad experience with PML years back. Have some minor sound from my front coupe window, sent my car to change window assembly since it is under warranty, came back with scratches & ding on the door. Sent in again for respray and eventually got the door done BUT the window glass was kind of loose, rattle....Fxxx, sent in again to re-aligned twice and the SA said this was like that one......Fxxxxx. Anyway, if you have a chance to get into the workshop at PML, you will be surprise to see almost 70% are OJT PRC...

...why I said that ?
Once I went into the workshop at kg Arang (which not suppose to do that) to check if my car was OK, saw a PRC servicing my car...fine, nothing wrong with that BUT wtf, he was holding a service manual, asking his friend how to do something....I believed he was not very clear on the procedures since they are written in ENGLISH....
Almost cried......



Brought my car to J4C and Billy fixed it in 30 mins somehow....

When i recalled, if I just sent to workshops and got fixed at 30 buck, I will just skip bringing it in to pml even though it is under warranty.....unless it cost alot more, then no choice.

gosh... silicon and grease is what i would do if i bought a 3rd hand car and decide to DIY.
I am surprised they didn't tell you "do not to open the roof anymore, we have fixed it by sealing the entire joint with silicon" haha... damn pml and their bull...

Hi bros,This is THEIR style when you claim warranty they will try all means to redo,rework and try and try to minimise cost..but when its charging and after warranty the SA will always as you change this change than till you die flat...thats why for me i never like to make friends with any SA and line is drawn to make my claims and what i want from them...tell them you down my car for days and dont let me come back again for the same problem,cos i am not here to try out your workmanship..should i need to come back i will give them #@$#%$##..all the way....

Silicone and Grease? Lets see what BMW Asia gotta say on this. Sounds like some secondary school metal work classes.

Last time I got some issues with my 335, send to Alexandra and they saw I have some exterior mods. A Malay CSA(cant remember name) came talk to me in some very strong tone saying that I am not suppose to mod anything during warranty perios 1at 3 years. Then they found that I had aftermarket exhaust and say they cant and will not do any further check on my car as I have broken the terms of the warranty. Throughout the conversation, I dont feel there was any customer treatment but more like a threat thrown on me. Fark them man. I hope they lose their dealership for good and those CSAs there can go be some garang gunis.
