Here we go lads..These are all in USD ( info taken from US M3 forum )

BMW North America has given dealers preliminary pricing details for the 2007 BMW M3 coupe. The car is expected to make its official debut before the end of the year — possibly at the Paris Motor Show in September. If the data is to be believed, it would position the M3 about $10,000 above the new 335i coupe. Base U.S. price is listed at $53,975 with a carbon fiber roof, 18" wheels, and adaptive headlights as standard equipment. Purchasers will be able to chose between a SMG III and six-speed manual transmissions, with neither costing more than the other. While LLN can not independently verify this information, one possible reason for its early release to dealers could be in order to enable pre-orders for what is sure to be a hot-seller.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

Singapore OMV translates to SGD$85,070. How much would it cost to PI one?

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

PI- Wasting your time. Reason: Brand new car. Impossible to get supply at anywhere near list.

I know cos I tried 7 different sources before E46 M3 came out. No matter how cooperative the supplier was in terms of invoicing, you just couldnt get it done cheaply enough unless you took massive personal risk in terms of "ahem" creative tax declaration.

Different story 2 years after model is launched. Then you can pick from dealer forecourt stock at discount to list.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

This car will have a price tag of SGD 350k w/o a doubt if not a little more.

Its probably a bad idea to PI the first batch of cars anyways cause getting support from PML for any neccesary bugs or gremlins would be alot tougher. I'm think about 2 years time...

Saw the programe TOPGEAR on BBC channel. Jeremy C. test drove the RS4 in France and commented "this AUDI is better than the current M3. The new BMW M3 had better be really good to match the Rs4"

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

Was told by my senior friend in Cycle that if u mulitply the OMV by 2.2 ballpark figure, that will be the cost to the dealer. Anything else above that represents their profit margins. So if OMV is 90k, then cost to performance is only 198k

Coupe1
I totally agreed with the cost price.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

So PML makes about 150k for an M3.... thats good business sense...

it depends. with the new showroom coming up and the cost overhead per car, would be higher. i'd say they still make abt 100K per car thereabt this time round with the new showroom in mind.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

in that case why isnt there PI who bring in an M3 and be happy with profit of $50k???

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

Who says dun have? Anyways dun give people ideas leh

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

PI can generally bring in just bout any cars unless otherwise restrictred by the manufaturer like in the case of Ferrari where u must get em from Hong Seh here.

What some people are worried is the after sales service in which case PI can't really provide much esp for high end continental cars....

Agreed with Boris..
For newly launched car, dont go PI just yet......wait for a yr or so and pursue from there.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

The new M3 will give a run for the money for the current RS4. One thing for sure, it will be lighter than the RS4 and will have better weight distribution front and back. The RS4 is still too front heavy due to the chasis limitation. No to worry, once this new M3 is out, there will be lots and lots of mag doing shoot-out and review btw this 2 cars.....kekeke :)

If you notice, when the car ads (mostly conti cars) come out for promotion ; for Mercs, they focus on C180/200, E200K, S350; for BMW, they focus on 320, 523 and 730; for Audi, its normally the A4 or A6....

Once you want a car out of (what is known as 'bread & butter" models) the above, there is usually a hefty preimum. Take for example the price of a 523 vs a 525. A 530 cost about $245k, during the IMF, the 730Li cost $235k (incl. rebate).... a saving of $10k..... and you pay for a car that's bigger and more luxurious, saving $10k off a new 530...... The pricing of the 530 vs the 730Li is actually not far away..... $245k vs $255k......

So expect the M, S/RS and the AMG models to carry a hefty preimum over their lesser counterparts.....

For the rest of the models other than the bread & butter models, they carry quite a preimum themselves........

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info

TheNew7,
this is MONOPOLY. maybe bmw-sg.com should start an online ordering site for BMW like USA.

Re: E92 M3 - Preliminary Info
