E92 Coupe 325i enquiries

Hi there, been lurking for some time. Reading up on interesting posts of forumers rides & experiences. Recently, decided on getting a E92 as I'm drawn to the sleek lines of this model. Been trying to read up on more info online; guess I'm set on the 325 rather than 320 due to the IL6?
As I consider myself a relative noob to the beemer brand (been doing mercs & japs mostly previously), would greatly appreciate if the knowledgable folks/owners here give me some pointers on my potential choice of ride :)
Also, read previously on the general debate between parallel & pml models and the dreaded "adoption" fee. Just wanted to know if there's really gonna be any major issue if I do go the non-pml route (really?)

Well anways, I've been looking at these rides on the market. Would be great if I could get some honest feedback on my selections as well ;)

IL6 is smooth as butter .......when maintained well.

Personally I have a PI car and had not much of an issue - IMHO BMWs are not very complex in general especially if you follow what the manual says.

IMO it's ok to get PI car especially when you're buying older 2nd hand car where warrenty's expired. There a lot of workshops out there serving BMW so don't have to bring to PML. In fact some workshops do better jobs than PML ;)

Main thing is to calculate depreciation and compare when buying.

Hi there, thanks for the helpful replies!
Yea been leaning towards considering the non-pml cars too, seeing as warranty is over. However, read somewhere that for certain electronic or programming works, only pml is able to resolve? :|
Well, guess I've gotta try to locate more on this & come to a decision either way huh.

Cheers :)

There are workshops out there that can do programming, flashing etc.

Lookup the sponsors on the forum.

Can be done anywhere, not just PML

Re: E92 Coupe 325i enquiries

Thanks guys! Was just worried certain error codes only pml can resolve & didn't want to get a ride only to have the dashboard light up like a Xmas tree in time ;)
Guess it's not really an issue then!

Cheers

Re: E92 Coupe 325i enquiries

TS, saw your first post, some of the cars are still around for sale even till now. Any idea what to look out for in relation to beemer when checking out the 2nd hand car?

Price ?
Mods ?
Unusual Vibrations ?
Noise ?
Wear and tear ?
Accident free ?
Scratches ?
When full throttle, can it hold at 7k rpm ?

Re: E92 Coupe 325i enquiries

Any known problems for e92 325i that I should be looking out for?

Nothing much ... depend on the previous owner ...

A pretty stable car ... better than mine.
