E92 back end squeeks when getting out of car

When people get out of car including myself, the rear right end squeeks like some kind of old car (spring squeeky noise)

I've searched through the forums and can't seem to find anything similar.

Is this a case of WD40, suspension or the anti roll bar issues?

Please help

Mine squeaks too but only during rainy days. PML says "it's like that". Sian. Maybe because my car is still under warranty. They wouldn't say the same once my warranty expires... I think.

SA says it is handbrake bushing. Change also won't help. Sian, I'm so irritated by the noise. Sounded like some 20 year old car.

do you think if i change the whole suspension to a new coilover setup it will resolve the problem? excuse to upgrade

Yes it should be, just live with it. Happens to most bimmers.

Hey bro, mine is the same. Today rain very heavy, It squeaks when i go over hump...i thought suspension gone liao. Anyone else having same problem. Strange thing is I don't hear the squeak before today's heavy rain.

Seems like very common problem....my E90 as well.
Rainy days and driven over pools of water....has that squeeks on my front rigth.

Most of your car's rubber bushes will not squeak unless they have been really worn and tattered. When you get out of your car, it is the parking brake that is moving under the torsion forces of the suspension unloading. try pulling up your handbrake lever another 3-4 catches and the sound should go away. The squeaking occurs as the rear multi link setup prescribes a small arc as it moves up the suspension travel. Thus when you get off, the suspension will unload and this causes the tires to move 3-5deg and this rotational movement causes the squeak. if your car has a more metallic knocking sound, its the brake shoes moving towards their stops.
